The vision of this project is simple: provide consumers with secure tools and information to take better control of their health.

Inland Northwest Health Services (INHS), a nationally recognized health information technology company, in partnership with Rockwood Clinic, Hearts Clinic Northwest and Physicians Clinic of Spokane will provide patients, consumers and physicians an opportunity to securely compile personal health information in one place using a friendly, web-based tool available from Google Health.

The Google Health tool will automatically receive pertinent data from a patient’s electronic medical record within the physician’s office. It allows patients to add personal health information such as over-the-counter medications and allergies and allows access for designated physicians or family members to view that information. The patient can also use the tool to import data from pharmacies and to research information on their specific health conditions.

The Spokane Regional Health Record Bank is looking to create a functional health record bank that can help encourage and support the flow of information from patient to doctor to improve clinical decision making.
